1. Accountability
We are 15131979 Canada Inc. o/a “Glenwood Education Centre” (“We/Us/Glenwood”). We are accountable for all the personal information we collect, use, disclose, retain or dispose of during the normal course of our business.
Our designated privacy officer is the president of Glenwood, Raymond Morrell.
2. Purpose of collection
We collect your personal information only if you choose to purchase or use our services and products, including rental of our facilities, and the use of services available in our facilities. In some cases, we may need this personal information to fulfil regulatory requirements and municipal by-laws that regulate our business.
We also collect the personal information you choose to share with us for marketing purposes, unless you tell us not to use it this way.
3. Consent to collect
When you choose to purchase or use our services and products, you consent to our collection of your personal information, including information that could identify you such as your name, address, phone number, email.
When using our Guest Wifi services, we do not directly collect your personal information. We use Cogeco Business services, who may collect personal information about you. Generally, their application does not disclose to us any personal information about the persons connecting to our Guest Wifi services other than the type of device, length of session, data usage per session, app usage, and date and time of connection. You may withdraw your consent at any time for us to collect, use, retain or disclose your personal information. However, in some cases, we may be under a legal obligation to retain personal information, and in some cases we will not be able to provide you with the services or products you requested, purchased, or wish to use.
4. Limitations
We only collect as much personal information as is necessary to provide you with the services or products you requested, used or purchases from us. We limit our collection of personal information to only the information you voluntarily provide to us in our sign-up or purchase forms, and the necessary information about your data connection to our website services.
5. Use, Disclosure and Retention
We only use the personal information your disclose to us for the purposes it was disclosed to us. We do not use or disclose it further for any other purpose, except where required by law or to comply with a court order. We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes it was collected, and generally not more than 5 (five) years.
6. Accuracy
We want to keep your personal information accurate, and you may ask to correct any personal information that we use or retain in order to provide you with services or products.
7. Safeguards
We use secure services such as Google, GoDaddy and Cogeco for the storage of some personal information about our customers. We endeavour to keep this information safeguarded whenever used or disclosed outside of those services, and when in hard copy form we restrict access to personal information to only those employees and agents who need to know.
8. Openness
We do not openly share personal information collected, used, retained or disposed of about our clients or those using our services and products with any party.
